Healthy Sesame and Kale Chips

Enjoy a guilt-free snack with these healthy chips, which have calcium-rich ingredients. Delicious and nutritious, these chips boost your intake of essential vitamins and minerals, and are perfect for health-conscious snackers.  They are easy to make and full of flavour, so you never have to compromise on taste or nutrition.


Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch of kale
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of nutritional yeast (optional)

Method:

  1. Preheat your oven to 150°C.
  2. Wash and thoroughly dry the kale. Remove the stems and tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the kale with olive oil, ensuring all pieces are evenly coated. Sprinkle the sesame seeds, sea salt, garlic powder, and nutritional yeast (if using) over the kale. Toss again to distribute the seasonings.
  4. Spread the kale pieces in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the kale is crispy. Check halfway through and turn the leaves to ensure even baking.
  5. Allow the chips to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a serving bowl.
